Iqbal Rind was born on January 1, 1966, in the village of Lāṇḍhi, located in Kot Ghulam Muhammad, District Mirpurkhas, Sindh. His childhood was shaped in an intellectually and politically aware environment, as his father, Muhammad Juman Rind, was known as a primary school teacher and a national activist.
Iqbal Rind achieved notable academic success. He earned a Master’s degree in Sindhi literature and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). His educational background laid a strong foundation for his intellectual depth and literary devotion.
In 1990, Iqbal Rind stepped into the world of poetry. He established a distinct identity among the poets of his generation in the genres of ghazal and wai. His poetry reflects thoughtful expression, deep emotion, and a unique modern tone. He has published two poetry collections:
